DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION?

Walk-ins are welcome and are available on a first-come first-served basis. However, we highly encourage reservation to secure your spot for your desired date and time, especially on Saturdays. If you have a group of 10 or more, please reach out to us and we can discuss the options available for larger groups.

 

DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?

Walk-ins are welcome, and are only available on a first-come first-served basis.

 

WHAT DOES MY POURING SESSION INCLUDE? 

Upon arrival, you will pick out your vessel(s) to pour your candle(s). You can make as many candles as you'd like, you just pay per vessel. You will join your session, which typically seats between 2 and 15 guests. You will be guided through the process of choosing your fragrance(s) and pouring your candle(s). After pouring, your candle(s) will take some time to cure, so you will have return to pick them up or you may opt to have them shipped to you.

HOW LONG DOES THE EXPERIENCE TAKE? 

On average the experience takes about 60 minutes. Our candles take up to an hour to cure after the experience, to be safe to take home. If you're not able to wait for your candles to cure, you may come pick up your candles another day or arrange to have the candles shipped to you for a flat rate of $8.75.

If you want to pour a candle and pick it up that same day, please plan to visit the store no more than approximately two hours before close, as candles take about 60 minutes to cool before they are ready to take home.

 

If you don't mind picking up your candle another day or opt to ship your candle, then you are more than welcome to choose any session before closing to pour.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO MAKE A CANDLE?

You will be required to make a deposit of $10 to book your session, which covers the cost of the class. This price includes the process of choosing your scents and creating your very own custom scent blend. During your session, you will pay for the cost of your candle(s), with options ranging from $20 - $50. (*this pricing does not apply to private sessions, in which your standard vessel is included).

IS THE EXPERIENCE FAMILY FRIENDLY?

Yes, we welcome all ages! We do require parent supervision for children ages 10 and under.

CAN I BRING MY OWN VESSEL TO MAKE A CANDLE?

Sometimes. We provide vessels that have been tested with our wicks to ensure quality and safe burning. Outside vessels may be filled based on our discretion, as we cannot guarantee how they will burn or even if they are safe to burn.

CAN I REFILL MY VESSEL FROM A PAST VISIT?

Of course! We love when customers return and want to recycle their vessels. If you bring back a vessel from a previous session, you can receive 25% off of the cost of the vessel. You can refill it with a new fragrance, our your previous scent creation if you'd like! :)

CAN YOU HOST IN ANY SPACE OR JUST IN THE STORE?

We can host events in all kinds of spaces, not just in our store. For private event inquiries, email noirluxcandleco@gmail.com

WHAT IF I AM RUNNING LATE TO MY SESSION or I NEED TO CANCEL?

We strive to provide an excellent experience for you at Noir Lux Candle Bar! When you book with us, a seat has been specifically reserved for you in a session. As a courtesy to all our guests, we always try to start our classes promptly. 

​

Please arrive no later than 10 min of your scheduled pouring time. If you are more than 15 min late for your session, your reservation may be canceled and need to be rescheduled.

We request at least 48-hour notice in the event that you need to cancel or reschedule. If you do not provide 48 hours notice, or if you no-show, unfortunately we cannot refund you. Guests are allowed to reschedule their reservations one time if needed.

HOW DO I GET TO THE CANDLE BAR?

Our space is located in Belltown, closer to lower Queen Anne. Apple Maps tends to send folks to Warren Ave in North Seattle, so we recommend using WAZE or Google Maps in the meantime. We are located on Warren Pl between Denny & 1st Ave, on the ground floor of the Encore Belltown Apartments. 

 

Parking can be a little tricky depending on the day, as we are located on the same street as Climate Pledge Arena. There is typically street parking available for $0.50 an hour, and it is free on Sundays. There are also some nearby parking garages such as the Bay Vista Garage, Diamond Parking Lots, Olympic Sculpture Park, and 2601 Elliott Garage.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOUR CANDLES MADE Of?

Our candles are made with premium soy wax and high quality phthalate free fragrance oils. Our oils are FDA approved, cruelty free, and skin safe. 

 

WHAT FRAGRANCE WILL MY CANDLE(S) BE? CAN I MAKE MINE WITHOUT FRAGRANCE?

Typically, our scent bar includes anywhere from 80 to 100 fragrances depending on the season. You will have the option to blend up to three scents of your choice for each candle that you make. If you’d prefer to craft your candle without any fragrance, that’s okay too! It’s your creation! 

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGET TO PICK UP MY CANDLE(S)? 

We hold your candles for up to 30 days, with a courtesy reminder call and/or email. We will always offer you the option to have your candle shipped to you for a flat fee should you forget to come and pick up. After 30 days, your candle(s) will be added to donation and/or grab bag stash.
